Sleep Study Test Results

A couple of weeks ago, I participated in a sleep study as recommended by my weight management doctor. Sleep apnea is a co-moribidity that causes a person to stop breathing during their sleep due to an obstructed airway. Carrying a lot of excess weight will increase the chances of having sleep apnea, SO due to my weight and need to justify the vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG) surgery to my insurance company, the doctor recommended that I participate. Sleep Study Complete

So, last night I participated in a sleep study for the first time. The doctor at the Weight Management Clinic recommended that I get the study to check for sleep apnea. Having sleep apena and not treating it can lead to a dangerous surgery from what I understand. She had asked me if I felt tired all the time, was restless, or a light sleeper and despite me answering no to all of the questions she sent me to have it done anyway.
